Nourishing Life: A Six-Week Introduction to Yang Sheng
Develop a deeper understanding of your body, your constitution, and the ways your daily habits shape your health.
Nourishing Life is a six-week introduction to Yang Sheng, the Chinese tradition of “nourishing life.” Each week explores a different aspect of Chinese medicine and practical self-care, including Chinese medicine theory, seasonal allergies, sleep, pain, emotions, and seasonal living.
This accessible series is for anyone curious about Chinese medicine and interested in taking a more active role in their health. No previous experience is necessary.
One hour per week for six weeks. $180 for the complete series. 6 Thursdays 7-8pm. October 8th, 15th, 22nd 29th, November 5th and 19th. Online and in person at the Center for Sacred Living, 210 Little Lake Drive Ann Arbor 48103

Wild Edible Medicinal Plant Walk @ Matthai Botanical Garden, September 27th, 4pm-6pm

Learn to identify local medicinal and edible plants. Its a great time for harvesting fruits, seeds, mushrooms, and some herbs. Learn basics of plant identification and harvesting.

Integrative Pain Management-Surviving Pain Crisis Through Holistic Methods, November 12th, 6:30-8:30pm
How to handle muscular skeletal pain through use of chinese and western herbs-both internal and external use, somatics, meditation, hydrotherapy, acupressure, self massage, chi gong, as well as integrating medication management. *You will leave with extensive tools and possibly product samples

Silk Reeling Qigong
Wednesday nights, 7:00 to 8:00 PM
A gentle yet powerful Qigong practice focused on smooth movement, breath, and energy cultivation. Perfect for beginners and those wanting to build a strong foundation. Drop-in fee is $22 ($20 cash or check). Try the first class for free!
